Tri-Valley Events: January 2025

January has arrived in the Tri-Valley, and the new year is off to an exciting start! Whether you're taking part in winter activities, enjoying cozy local spots, or attending special community events, our area is full of opportunities to kick off the year with warmth and joy. Let’s take a look at what’s happening in the Tri-Valley this January!

JAN 1 – JAN 5: Putters Holiday Pop-Up in Downtown Livermore

Putters Holiday Pop-Up, running from December 1, 2024, to January 5, 2025, brings festive fun to historic Downtown Livermore. Set at The Lot on First (2047 First Street), this hand-crafted, holiday-themed mini golf course is filled with cheerful decorations, lights, and seasonal spirit. Open to all ages, the course costs $13 per person, which includes a souvenir golf ball, holiday hat, and candy cane.

JAN 1 – JAN 5: Holly Jolly Trolley in Downtown Livermore

Hop on the free "Holly Jolly Trolley" in Historic Downtown Livermore! Running daily from December 1, 2024, to January 5, 2025 (except December 7 and 25), this holiday-themed shuttle makes it easy to explore shops, dining, and attractions. With a fun hop-on, hop-off service, the trolley is decorated with jingle bells, adding extra holiday cheer for all ages.

JAN 1 – JAN 15: Winter Reading Program at the Livermore Public Library

If reading more is on your list of New Year’s resolutions, the Livermore Public Library’s Winter Reading Program is the perfect way to get started! Open to all ages—babies to adults—this fun program lets you track your reading with the Beanstack app or paper gameboards for a chance to win amazing prizes, including a Kindle, pizza oven, Squishmallows, and more. Plus, enjoy a treat-filled mug just for signing up!

JAN 3: First Friday Karaoke at Longevity Wines

Head to Longevity Wines for First Friday Karaoke! Guests are invited to grab their friends, choose their favorite songs, and take the stage for a night of fun and no judgment! Longevity Wines offers a wide selection of wines, including red, white, sparkling, and sweet, available by the flight, glass, or bottle. Guests can also enjoy tasty eats from a food truck stationed outside, making it the perfect pairing for a memorable evening.

JAN 4: Jewelry Making Workshop at The Bothwell Arts Center

Join professional jeweler and wire-wrapper Charlene Stark, along with Peggy Kervin, for a fun and creative jewelry-making class. Participants will learn to craft loop earrings or loop pendants for a necklace, with all materials provided, including tools, wire, and beads. This class is perfect for both beginner and intermediate jewelers looking to explore their creativity and enhance their skills.

JAN 11: Better Days Live at BottleTaps Restaurant, Pleasanton

Better Days, a semi-acoustic trio, will be performing live at BottleTaps Restaurant! Specializing in fun rock covers that range from Alt-Rock to Classic Rock and beyond, the band is a spinoff of Northern Static, a longtime Livermore favorite. The event is open to all ages, so bring the whole family! Plus, the dog-friendly patio means your furry friends are welcome too!

JAN 14: LinkedIn Workshop at The Livermore Public Library

Looking to revamp your LinkedIn profile? Livermore Public Library invites you to a hands-on LinkedIn workshop! Learn from Rashim Mogha, an influencer, best-selling author, and tech leader, about how to create an impactful LinkedIn profile. Devices will be provided for participants, but attendees are welcome to bring their own.

JAN 16: Your Taco Guy at Altamont Beer Works, Livermore

Your Taco Guy is bringing the flavor to Altamont Beer Works! Head over from 12 PM to 7 PM for a perfect pairing of delicious tacos and refreshing craft beer. Gather your friends, grab a bite, and enjoy the laid-back atmosphere.

JAN 16 & 23: Wine & Wellness CBD 101 at Omega Road Winery

In celebration of National CBD Month, Omega Road Winery in Livermore is hosting a fun and informative CBD workshop. Attendees will enjoy a relaxed evening filled with education and laughter as in-house Certified Cannabis Coach Kristin answers all CBD-related questions. The ticket includes one glass of wine and light bites, making it the perfect way to unwind and learn something new.

JAN 17: Texas Tenors at The Bankhead Theater

Join The Texas Tenors as they celebrate their 15th Anniversary Tour with an unforgettable evening of music at the Bankhead Theater in Livermore! This special concert will feature a blend of new songs, patriotic anthems, and a captivating mix of Country and Classical melodies. From their chart-topping albums to their electrifying performances on America’s Got Talent, JC, Marcus, and John are set to deliver a concert experience filled with magic and lasting memories.

JAN 18: Matt Bolton at BottleTaps Restaurant, Pleasanton

Head to BottleTaps in Pleasanton on January 18th from 6:00 PM to 9:00PM for Matt Bolton’s show! This singer, guitarist, keyboardist, and percussionist from Kauai, Hawaii, brings his one-man band show to life with a mix of covers and originals. Having toured with artists like Todd Rundgren, Jesse Colin Young, and Bill Kreutzmann (Grateful Dead), Matt uses innovative looping techniques to create the sound and energy of a full band—without pre-recorded tracks. All ages are welcome, and the dog-friendly patio is open for your furry friends!

JAN 19: Livermore Drum Circle at The Bothwell Arts Center

Participants are invited to join a facilitated improv drumming session at the park behind the Bothwell Arts Center, weather permitting. In case of rain, the group will meet inside the West Room. This event is open to all ages, abilities, and instruments—whether attendees bring their own drum or rent one of the available drums. The session encourages everyone to share their sound, rhythm, and movement. The event is free, with donations welcomed.

JAN 19: Uncorked and Unplugged at McGrail Vineyards & Winery

Join McGrail for a cozy winter afternoon of live acoustic music, local food truck fare, and McGrail wines, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The event takes place in the Barrel Room, with additional seating on the Vineyard Patio (weather permitting). Seating is first-come, first-served. All guests must have a ticket, including those under 21.

JAN 21: Opportunities Expo at The Livermore Public Library

Livermore Public Library will host the Opportunities Expo on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Civic Center Library. This event offers job seekers the chance to connect with local employers, establish professional relationships, and explore job opportunities. Ron Essex Photography will provide free professional headshots for the first 50 attendees, and resume assistance will be available from the Tri-Valley Career Center. Community members aged 16 and older are encouraged to attend. Children of adult attendees are welcome, and refreshments will be provided.

JAN 22 & 29: Connect California Homes FREE Home Seller’s Seminar (Walnut Creek & Pleasanton)

Thinking of selling your home? Join the Connect California Homes team for a FREE Home Seller's Seminar to learn everything you need to know about selling your home for top dollar. The seminar will cover topics such as the best time to sell, current market conditions, what buyers are looking for, the costs of selling, and strategies to maximize your sale. The seminar will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM in Walnut Creek, and again on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in Pleasanton. A meal will be provided, and seating is limited, so be sure to register ASAP!
