Tri-Valley Events: May 2025

May is here, and with it comes the full bloom of spring! As the days grow longer and the weather warms up, our community is coming alive with local events, festivals, and outdoor activities. It’s the perfect time to get outside, soak up the sunshine, and explore all the exciting things happening around town. Let’s take a look at what’s going on this May!

MAY 2: Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander Celebration

Join Livermore Valley Arts to celebrate Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander culture featuring activities and performances to honor and celebrate the culture. Fun for the whole family!

MAY 2: First Friday Karaoke at Longevity Wines

Head to Longevity Wines for a night of karaoke singing! Grab your friends, pick your favorite tunes, and enjoy a wide menu of Longevity wines, all available by the flight, glass or bottle. There will be a food truck with delicious eats out front!

MAY 2–4: Tri-Valley Artist Studio Tour

The Alliance for the Visual Arts will host the fourth annual Tri Valley Artist Studio Tour (TVAST) on May 3–4, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in San Ramon, Dublin, Pleasanton, and Livermore. Featuring around 50 artists at 15 locations, the free event includes a wide range of visual art, from painting and sculpture to textiles and jewelry, along with demonstrations and artist meet-and-greets. A special preview of select home studios will take place on May 2.

MAY 2–4: NGA Western Regional Zone Championships 

Watch top gymnasts from across the Western U.S. compete for regional titles at the National Gymnastics Association (NGA) Western Regional Zone Champions at the Alameda County Fairgrounds. Experience thrilling routines, incredible skills and high-energy performances. Spectators welcome, come cheer on these incredible athletes as they push the limits of gymnastics! 

MAY 2–4: 626 Night Market Bay Area

626 Night Market is back in Pleasanton at the Alameda County Fairgrounds! The iconic Californian festival features 200+ food, merchandise, crafts, art, games, music and entertainment attractions in an epic event that appeals to all ages.

MAY 10: Summer Wine Stroll in Downtown Pleasanton

On Saturday, May 10, Downtown Pleasanton will transform into a vibrant wine-tasting destination for the Annual Wine Stroll. Guests can sip wines from top Livermore Valley wineries, shop local boutiques, and enjoy live music and art along charming Main Street. Participating wineries include Wente, McGrail, Concannon, Darcie Kent, and many more.

MAY 10–11: Hawaiian May Day Festival

Kuma Hula Association of Northern California presents Hawaiian May Day Festival, featuring Hawaiian & Reggae music, local Hula Hālau, ethnic food vendors as well as arts & craft vendors from all over the world. Come to the Alameda County Fairgrounds and enjoy the festivities with us on Mother’s Day weekend.

MAY 10–18: Paint Livermore Plein Air Festival

The Livermore Art Association presents the Paint Livermore Plein Air Art Festival 2025, running from May 10–18. The event kicks off with a collaborative painting workshop on May 10 and concludes with an Awards Party on May 18 at the Bankhead Theater lobby.

MAY 14: Locust Street Festival in Walnut Creek

Experience Downtown Walnut Creek's most popular street festival. Locust Street Festival is an evening of art, beer/wine, food, activities, live music, and shopping from artisan vendors at this beloved street festival. Grab a bite and support a small business by ordering from one of many Walnut Creek restaurants that are within walking distance. Connect with the community and explore all of what Downtown Walnut Creek has to offer.

MAY 16: Carbonaro: Lies On Stage

Magician and TV star Michael Carbonaro brings his mind-bending magic and comedy to The Bankhead in a live performance full of surprises. Best known for his hit show The Carbonaro Effect on truTV, Carbonaro combines sleight-of-hand with hidden-camera antics that leave audiences amazed. His live show promises laughter, wonder, and unforgettable illusions

MAY 16–17: Stamp & Scrapbook Expo

As an industry-leading consumer scrapbook show, the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo caters to paper crafters of all types and experience levels. Card makers, stampers, scrapbookers and paper enthusiasts can find new products and designs from vendors. Swap ideas with like-minded crafters and learn new techniques through workshops, demos and more at the Alameda County Fairgrounds.

MAY 17–18: Alameda Vintage Fashion Faire

Don't miss La Dolce Vintage, the ultimate vintage fashion event at the Alameda County Fairgrounds! Shop 65+ curated booths featuring vintage designer clothing, rare couture, jewelry, accessories, textiles, and more. Enjoy live entertainment, a no-host bar, and food while browsing iconic pieces from Valentino, Versace, Gucci, Prada, and more.

MAY 17–18: 2025 Livermore Downtown Street Fest

Livermore's Downtown Street Fest returns May 17–18, 2025, bringing together the best of the Bay Area with Livermore Valley wine, local craft beer, live music, art, vendors, and the vibrant food and shopping scene of Historic Downtown Livermore. Booths will line First Street and surrounding areas, offering a perfect opportunity for businesses and makers to connect with the community.

MAY 24: The Next Generation of Fighters

Professional boxing returns to the East Bay at the Alameda County Fairgrounds with an electrifying night of action featuring the region’s top up-and-coming fighters. This high-energy event promises thrilling matchups, rising stars, and a showcase of passion and skill. Highlights include local talent, a family-friendly atmosphere, strong community spirit, VIP experiences, and more—making it a can't-miss night for boxing fans.

MAY 27: Livermore Public Library Summer Learning Program

The Livermore Public Library's Summer Learning Program runs May 27–August 6 and invites all ages to read, complete activities, and earn prizes. Participants can win books, treats, raffle entries, and more, all while boosting learning and having fun.

MAY 31: FuelFest Bay Area

FuelFest is coming to the Alameda County Fairgrounds on May 31 for its premiere Bay Area event, bringing high-octane excitement to Northern California. This action-packed festival features an all makes and models car show, live drifting with fan ride-alongs, a multi-act concert, interactive exhibits, special guest appearances, VIP experiences, and more. A portion of proceeds supports Reach Out WorldWide, the non-profit founded by Paul Walker.
