GOING PINK - We raised over $1000 for Culinary Angels

At Connect California Homes, we understand that it is a privilege and an honor to live in the communities that we serve. It is a core value and part of our mission as local business owners to create strategic partnerships within our community and seek out opportunities to give back and allow others to do the same. That is why we have created Connect to a Cause, where each quarter we support a cause in need.

This quarter, Connect California Homes decided we were GOING PINK for the month of October in support of Breast Cancer Awareness and Prevention. It made sense for us to connect with this cause because it is important to each of us in a unique way.

We partnered with Culinary Angels, a local nonprofit organization based in Pleasanton. Culinary Angels provides local, organic, nutrient-rich meals and nutrition education to those going through a cancer challenge as well as to their caregivers. They are 98% volunteer based, therefore the majority of donated funds are in direct support of their meal program. Meals are delivered free-of-charge throughout the No. California cities of Livermore, Dublin, Pleasanton, Danville and San Ramon.

Throughout the month of October, we shared our reasons for connecting with this cause on our Instagram as well as preparing for our fundraising event, Xtreme Music Bingo, which was hosted October 27th, 2022 at BottleTaps in Pleasanton. 15% of BottleTaps profits this evening were pledged to be donated to Culinary Angels. Additionally, we had a raffle prize with tickets to Livermore Wine Trolley, wine bottles, and a gift card to BottleTaps, in which ticket purchases were donated as well.

Through our event, we were able to raise over $1000 to donate to Culinary Angels. Way to go!

The event was so much fun, and if you were able to make it, we hope you had as great of a time as we did! We had great food, great drinks, and played three rounds of Xtreme Music Bingo! Congratulations to Chuck Deckert, the winner of our raffle prize!

We are extremely grateful for everyone that was able to join us for our event and that we were able to make a direct difference in our community and in the lives of people fighting cancer. We would like to express gratitude to Culinary Angels, BottleTaps, and the Livermore Wine Trolley for supporting the event.

We plan to connect to more causes each quarter and hold fundraisers and donation events like this one. Please stay tuned for ways we can get together again on our Give Back page or for updates on our Instagram @connectcahomes.
