September has arrived, and the Tri-Valley region continues to shine with a wide array of activities and events to enjoy as the seasons begin to change. Whether you're a longtime local or exploring the area for the first time, Pleasanton, Livermore, Dublin, Walnut Creek, and the surrounding communities offer something for everyone. SEP 4: Thirsty Thursday at the Livermore Farmers Market

SEP 5: As Long As You're Asking - A Conversation with Jason Alexander

Best known for his role on Seinfeld, Jason Alexander is coming to the Bankhead Theater for an evening of comedy, music, and storytelling. He will share behind-the-scenes moments from his life and career while the audience helps guide the conversation. Expect laughs, surprises, and a truly unique experience.

SEP 6–7: Major League Table Tennis

SEP 6: Jane Lynch and Kate Flannery - The Trouble with Angels

Jane Lynch and Kate Flannery bring The Trouble with Angels to the Bankhead Theater on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 7:30 PM. This evening of comedy and music blends sharp wit, classic tunes, and plenty of mischief from two beloved stars.

SEP 6: Boots & Brews Country Music Festival

County music fans should take a day trip down to Morgan Hill for Boots & Brews! This one-day country music festival is the ultimate celebration of great music, delicious food, and ice cold Beer! Each festival features nationally touring, chart-topping country artists, and has served as a springboard for several rising stars!

SEP 7: Readers and Writers at Omega Road Winery

Meet at Omega Road Winery on Sunday, September 7, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM to enjoy a quiet morning reading or writing alongside fellow book and writing enthusiasts. Wine and spritzers will be available for purchase, with complimentary bites provided.

SEP 13: Mexican Independence Day Celebration

Celebrate Mexican Independence Day on Saturday, September 13, from 12:00–3:00 PM in the courtyard between Bloomingdale’s and Lululemon. Enjoy performances by Mariachi Estelar and Ballet Folklorico Mexicano, along with special shopping and giveaways.

SEP 13: Splatter

Celebrate the arts and culture at Splatter, a vibrant festival featuring live performances, interactive art, and delicious food, brews, and wine. Held at Emerald Glen Park in Dublin, this event is a feast for the senses and a great way to enjoy a day of creativity and community.

SEP 14: Pumpkin Planter Workshop at BottleTaps Restaurant

Fall Succulent Workshop at BottleTaps takes place on Sunday, September 14, 2025, from 1:00–3:00 PM. Create your own heirloom pumpkin succulent arrangement with step-by-step guidance from instructor Michelle Waters. The workshop includes a pumpkin, succulents, materials, and instruction. Cost is $68 per person, and bites and drinks will be available for purchase.

SEP 20-21: Lafayette Art & Wine Festival

At the Lafayette Art & Wine Festival, you can browse hundreds of booths featuring art and handmade crafts, sample foods from local restaurants and food trucks, enjoy quality wines and craft beers, and catch live music on multiple stages throughout the day.

SEP 20: Walnut Festival Twilight Parade

The Walnut Creek Twilight Parade takes place on the evening of Saturday, September 20th in downtown Walnut Creek. Join in face painting and grab goodie bags, then march with the school community.

SEP 25–28: 89th Annual Walnut Festival

The Walnut Festival, organized by the non-profit Walnut Festival Association for nearly 90 years, is a beloved community tradition in Walnut Creek. Funds raised from the festival support local educational, recreational, artistic, and charitable programs, while also providing a platform for other non-profits to raise money. Held annually at Heather Farm Park, the festival brings the community together for family-friendly entertainment, live music, carnival rides, and more, all while fostering a strong sense of local involvement and giving back.

SEP 26–27: Walnut Creek Oktoberfest

Walnut Creek Oktoberfest returns to Civic Park East on Friday, September 26 (5–10 PM) and Saturday, September 27 (12–9 PM). Enjoy free admission, live music, authentic German beers, bratwurst and other traditional eats, an artisan market, and a kids’ area with inflatables and games. Just a short walk from Walnut Creek BART, it’s the perfect weekend to raise a stein and celebrate Bavarian fun with friends and family.

SEP 27: Corgi Con

Calling all Corgi lovers! Corgi Con is back at the Alameda County Fairgrounds, celebrating these adorable dogs with a day of fun activities, including a Corgi costume contest, a Corgi Ninja Warrior Obstacle Course, races, and more. It's the ultimate event for Corgi enthusiasts and dog lovers alike.

SEP 27: 2025 Wine Harvest Bash!

2025 Wine Harvest Bash takes place at Rosa Fierro Cellars on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 5:30–8:30 PM. Celebrate the grape’s journey from vine to glass with live music by Frequency, food from Carnitas Aguirre, and wines available by the glass or bottle. Open patio seating makes it perfect for enjoying friends, dancing, and a festive harvest evening.

SEP 26–NOV 2: Pirates of Emerson Haunted Themed Park

Prepare for thrills and chills at Pirates of Emerson Haunted Themed Park! This Halloween-themed attraction runs through early November, offering haunted houses, spooky mazes, and eerie entertainment for those who love a good scare.
