Free Outdoor Live Music in the East Bay Area (Summer 2025)

One of the things I appreciate most about living and working in the East Bay is how our communities come alive in the summer with music, connection, and time spent outdoors. Whether you’re new to the area or have lived here for years, there's something truly special about grabbing a lawn chair, meeting up with neighbors, and listening to live music under the open sky.

Here are some of my favorite free outdoor concert series happening this summer along the 680 corridor, plus a can’t-miss ticketed experience at Wente Winery that’s worth the splurge.

1. Danville – Music in the Plaza

  • When: Select Fridays & Saturdays through September, 4PM–6 PM

  • Where: Prospect Park Plaza, Downtown Danville

  • Details: These casual, early-evening performances are set right in the heart of town. It’s the perfect stop before dinner or an afternoon walk downtown. Click here for the lineup.

2. Pleasanton – Concerts in the Park

  • When: Friday evenings, July through August, 7PM–8:30PM

  • Where: Lions Wayside Park

  • Details: This beloved summer tradition draws locals to downtown Pleasanton every Friday night. Bring a blanket, a bite, and enjoy a rotating lineup of local talent. Click here for the lineup.

3. Livermore – Tuesday Tunes

  • When: Every Tuesday Night, June 14–August 16, 6:45PM–8:15PM

  • Where: Shea Homes Stage, Livermore Plaza

  • Details: Jazz, blues, classic rock, you name it. These free shows are a great way to enjoy the vibrant downtown scene and support local musicians. Click here for the full lineup.

4. San Ramon – Summer Concerts in the Park

  • When: Select evenings in July & August

  • Where: San Ramon Central Park Amphitheater

  • Details: San Ramon’s Central Park transforms into an outdoor stage for some of the area’s best tribute and cover bands. Come for the music, stay for the community feel. Click here for the lineup.

5. Alamo – Summer Concerts in the Park

  • When: Fridays in July & early August, 6:30–8:30 PM

  • Where: Livorna Park

  • Details: These concerts offer an easygoing way to end the week. Bring your favorite local picnic fare and enjoy the music beneath the oaks. Click here for the lineup.

Bonus Experience: Wente Vineyards Summer Concert Series (Ticketed)

For a more curated and intimate concert experience, Wente Vineyards in Livermore hosts an outdoor summer series that blends top musical talent with world-class wine and food.

Why I Share This

As someone who lives, works, and invests in the East Bay, I believe that real estate isn’t only about homes. It’s about lifestyle, connection, and the moments that make us feel rooted. These music events are more than entertainment; they’re a reminder of what makes our communities vibrant and welcoming.

If you’re looking to make a move within the East Bay or want to learn more about life along the 680 corridor, I’d love to connect and share what I know about the neighborhoods, parks, and experiences that make this region so special.

Keep Exploring

Here are a few ways to stay tuned in:

  • Follow your city’s Parks & Rec or Downtown Association pages for updated lineups

  • Bring a friend or neighbor and try a new venue this summer

  • Pair a concert night with a stop at a local restaurant or wine bar

Whether you’re discovering a new favorite band or just soaking up the atmosphere, these East Bay concerts are a great reminder of why we love it here.
