Livermore, California, is ready to host one of the most anticipated food and wine events of the year. TASTE: The Livermore Valley Wine Experience 2025 runs from Thursday, October 16th through Sunday, October 19th, offering four full days of culinary delights, exceptional wines, and unique experiences in the heart of Livermore Valley Wine Country. This event has become a signature celebration for locals and visitors alike, combining the region’s renowned wineries with top-tier chefs and immersive activities. Whether you’re a seasoned wine connoisseur or just beginning your Livermore wine journey, TASTE promises an unforgettable weekend.

Day 1: Thursday, October 16 – Taste Our Terroir Competition

The celebration kicks off at Wente Family Vineyards with “Taste Our Terroir”, Livermore Valley’s signature food and wine pairing competition. Twenty teams—each pairing a Livermore winery with a local restaurant—compete to craft the perfect bite.

Judges include Keith Beavers, Tastings Director of VinePair; Chef Emily Lim, James Beard nominee; and Clive Pursehouse, US Editor for Decanter Magazine. Attendees also have the chance to vote for the People’s Choice Awards for Best Red and Best White Pairing.

Guests can enjoy all competition pairings, sip award-winning wines, and indulge in an exquisite dessert spread while mingling with winemakers and chefs. The Terrace Lawn at Wente Family Vineyards provides a stunning Livermore backdrop, making this an event that perfectly captures the spirit of the valley.

Day 2: Friday, October 17 – Vineyard Views, Cheese, and Seafood

Livermore’s wineries open their doors to a variety of daytime experiences:

Valley Views & Vines: Murrieta’s Well Hike & Sauvignon Blanc Tasting
Take a guided hike through Murrieta’s Well estate vineyards and sip a selection of Livermore Sauvignon Blancs while enjoying panoramic views of the valley. The tour concludes with artisanal charcuterie and a tasting room experience.

Cheese & Wine Pairing at Del Valle Winery
Under the Sangiovese arbor, discover six expertly curated wine and cheese pairings from Del Valle Winery, Fenestra Winery, and Garré Vineyard & Winery, guided by winemaker Aaron Luna and cheesemonger Brandon Wood. This hands-on tasting is an ideal way to connect with the flavors of Livermore while learning from the experts.

Ocean & Vine: Sauvignon Blanc & Seafood Social at Purple Orchid Resort & Spa
Sample Sauvignon Blanc from eight Livermore wineries of the Women’s Wine Collective alongside carefully paired seafood bites. This event highlights Livermore’s signature varietals and the creativity of local chefs.

Moonlit Masquerade at McGrail Vineyards
Friday night in Livermore transforms into a glamorous masquerade under the stars. With music, dancing, and wine from eight top Livermore Valley wineries, this evening blends elegance, entertainment, and exceptional wines.

Day 3: Saturday, October 18 – Signature Experiences and Sparkling Celebrations

Taste YOUR Terroir: Guided Vineyard Tour and Picnic
Join Julio Covarrubias, Livermore’s legendary grape grower, for a private vineyard tour and tasting at Casa de Viñas Vineyard. The experience concludes with a gourmet picnic under the shade of century-old oak trees, showcasing Livermore’s terroir.

Sip. Savor. Stomp. at Del Valle Winery
Celebrate Livermore’s October harvest with grape stomping, small-batch blending, and tasting six Gold Medal wines paired with a seasonal brunch. Participants leave with a commemorative t-shirt—a perfect souvenir of your Livermore weekend.
