As the Tri-Valley welcomes fall with cool breezes and golden leaves, it's the perfect season to cozy up in a local coffee shop—whether you're indulging in a pumpkin-spiced drink or tackling a busy workday. Pleasanton, Livermore, and Dublin have an array of cafés that not only serve exceptional coffee but also offer the ideal atmosphere for working or studying. Here are a few of our favorites!
124 Maple Street, Livermore
Located in the heart of Livermore, Story Coffee is known for its minimalist, inviting vibe and exceptional service. They serve fresh coffee drinks, house-made waffles, and local baked goods. This spot is perfect for those looking for a peaceful place to work or study as the shop is filled with natural light, offers strong Wi-Fi, and plenty of seating.
530 Main Street, Pleasanton
Located on Main Street in Downtown Pleasanton, this coffee spot is a local favorite. Their coffee, brewed with locally roasted DEVOUT Coffee in Niles, CA, is carefully crafted to deliver exceptional flavor with every cup. With ample seating, book-lined walls, and a welcoming environment, it’s an ideal spot for freelancers, students, or anyone looking to settle in for a productive day.
This fall, they’re offering their seasonal “Caramel Apple Latte”, which is a sweet, nostalgic latte with hints of caramel drizzle and crisp apple topped with whipped cream.
2115 First St, Livermore
Panama Bay Coffee Co. has been serving the Livermore community for over 20 years with its locally roasted beans and extensive food menu. This welcoming café offers plenty of large tables and a relaxed atmosphere, making it one of the best coffee shops near you for getting work done or meeting up with friends.
Their “Pumpkin Cold Brew” and “Pumpkin Spice Latte” are now on the menu as seasonal favorites!
206 S J St, Livermore
This independent, locally-owned artisanal coffee shop crafts all of its syrups in-house and serves drinks in porcelain cups to elevate the taste. You can also enjoy loose-leaf tea from Blue Willow, a nearby tea company. With its artsy ambiance and ample seating, it's a perfect spot for working. For a unique touch, relax in one of their vintage theater seats, salvaged from an old Berkeley theater.
For a taste of fall that’s a bit different than the typical pumpkin spice, try the “Nicco Macchiato Truffle,” a delightful blend of orange, cinnamon, and vanilla.
1987 Santa Rita Rd # C, Pleasanton
2470 First St #110, Livermore
The coffee and food here are as visually stunning as they are delicious. They source their beans locally from McLaughlin Coffee in Emeryville, and their toastinis and homemade marshmallows are truly exceptional!
We recommend the “Graham Cracker Latte,” which is a blend of espresso, honey, cinnamon, and oat milk.
618 Main St, Suite A, Pleasanton
As a new addition to the Tri-Valley coffee scene, Koffee Time is already getting rave reviews for its food options and quiet location! This family-owned café opened its doors in Downtown Pleasanton in 2024, bringing both classic coffees and a unique Latin-American flair to its offerings. In addition to coffee, they serve an assortment of sandwiches, bakery items, and salads.
Our fall-inspired pick at Koffee Time is their “Dulce de Leche Latte”, a rich, sweet drink that perfectly balances creamy milk, espresso, and caramelized sugar. They’re also serving fall-flavored desserts including Apple Tarts, Pumpkin Cake, Pumpkin Cream Cheese Danishes, Pumpkin Sugar Cookies, and Maple Cake!
When it comes to the best coffee shops near you in Pleasanton, Livermore, and Dublin, these local businesses offer more than just coffee—they provide a sense of community and care that you won’t find at larger chains. Supporting local businesses means more than just great coffee—it means investing in the Tri-Valley community!
