February has arrived in the Tri-Valley, and there’s plenty to look forward to as we settle into the heart of winter. Whether you're in the mood to enjoy cozy local spots or to check out exciting community events, our area, along with some great events just a drive away, is packed with opportunities to make the most of the month. Let’s take a look at the local happenings this February!
JAN 23 – MAR 15: Imagination Expressed 2025
Head to Museum on Main for Imagination Expressed 2025, an annual art show in collaboration with the Pleasanton Art League, featuring over 200 works by nearly 60 local artists. From ceramics and jewelry to paintings in various mediums, there's something for everyone. Many pieces are for sale, and live artist demonstrations will offer a behind-the-scenes look at their techniques. Don't miss this chance to support local talent!
FEB 1: Gadgets Galore at the Museum on Main
The Museum on Main is holding a special exhibit titled “Gadgets Galore” where you can explore how changing technology has shaped the American home. This exhibit is a great educational experience for visitors of all ages, and kids will especially enjoy seeing how technology has shaped daily life over the years.
FEB 1: Heart Shaped Cork and Succulent Planter Workshop
Looking for a fun Galentine’s Day activity? Join The Succulent Experience for the Heart Shape Cork and Succulent Planter Workshop at BottleTaps on Saturday, February 1st, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm! This creative workshop is the perfect way to spend time with friends while crafting your own 11” x 11” succulent planter, complete with living plants. All materials are provided, just bring your creativity (and maybe order a glass of wine)!
FEB 1: Fraggle Rock Live
Head to the Bankhead Theater in Livermore for Fraggle Rock Live! With stunning new puppets, immersive effects, and fan-favorite songs, this all-new live musical promises a heartwarming, interactive experience for families and Fraggle Rock fans alike.
FEB 2: Lunar New Year Celebration at The Bankhead Theater
Celebrate the Year of the Snake in Livermore! Livermore Valley Arts is holding its free Lunar New Year celebration outside the Bankhead Theater from 10am to 2pm that will include demonstrations, performances, and arts for the entire family.
FEB 2: San Francisco Half Marathon, 10K, & 5K at Golden Gate Park
If getting active is one of your New Year’s goals, here’s the perfect way to jumpstart your fitness journey! The San Francisco Half Marathon, 10K & 5K is returning this February at Golden Gate Park. While it’s a bit of a drive from the Tri-Valley, the scenic routes of this marathon can’t be beat. Racers will receive a long-sleeve T-shirt, a custom finisher’s medallion, and a Post-Race Festival with food and drinks to celebrate. Plus, race proceeds support local charities!
FEB 7: First Friday Karaoke at Longevity Wines
Grab your friends and get ready to shine at this fun, no-judgment karaoke event! Enjoy a wide selection of wines by the flight, glass, or bottle. Plus, a food truck will be serving up delicious bites right outside, making it the perfect outing for a night of music, wine, and good company.
FEB 8: Girl Scout Cookies & Wine Pairings at Omega Road Winery
With the return of Girl Scout Cookie season, Omega Road Winery is offering a curated cookie and wine pairing experience. Each flight will feature three of their wines, paired perfectly with three beloved Girl Scout cookies.
FEB 13: Tri-Valley for Black Lives Trivia Night at the Livermore Public Library
Tri-Valley for Black Lives is hosting Black History Month Trivia Night on February 13 at 6 p.m at the Livermore Library. Join the community in celebrating the contributions of African Americans to U.S. history. Test your knowledge and learn something new! Plus, winners will receive exciting prizes from local Black artists and businesses. Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate, learn, and support the community in a meaningful way!
FEB 14 – FEB 15: Valentine's Romance Wine Tour
Hop on the Livermore Wine Trolley for their Valentine’s Romance Wine Tour. The tour will begin with a sparkling toast at Hawthorn Suites, then continue on to a cozy ride to Longevity Wines for a premium wine flight and a fun game. The night continues with a three-course dinner at Sons of Liberty Alehouse. End the evening with a ride back to Hawthorn Suites, where you can opt for a special overnight stay. This is sure to be an unforgettable experience for you and your Valentine!
FEB 14 – FEB 16: NBA All-Star Weekend
Sports fans get ready, this major event is happening right in your own backyard! The 74th NBA All-Star Game will be held at Chase Center in San Francisco, on Sunday, February 16, 2025, bringing top basketball talent to our local doorstep. But the excitement doesn’t stop there—signature NBA All-Star events will be happening all across the Bay Area throughout the weekend.
FEB 15 – FEB 16: Dinosaur Adventure at Alameda County Fairgrounds
Head to the Alameda County Fairgrounds for Dinosaur Adventure, a fun family outing where you can experience life-sized, moving dinosaurs! Kids can enjoy activities like fossil digs, Jurassic scooters, dinosaur rides, gemstone mining, and more. There are also baby dinosaur encounters, face painting, and a prehistoric playground with bounce houses.
